What we hold about agencies
Listings contain business information about agencies: name, website, business address, business phone number, business email address, services offered, team size, and text describing the agency. Most of this is company information rather than personal data, but a business email address or a sole trader's address can be personal data, so we treat the whole record with that in mind.
Where it came from
We did not collect it from you. Listings were compiled from information the agency has published itself — its own website, and public directory profiles including Clutch, the IPA, BIMA and The Drum Recommends. Where an agency has claimed its listing, the information is whatever they have since entered themselves.
Why we hold it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a directory that helps businesses find marketing agencies, and letting agencies correct and maintain their own entry. We think this is a reasonable use of information agencies have already published to attract clients. If you disagree in your case, you can object and we will remove the listing.
Emails we send
We email agencies to tell them their listing exists and invite them to claim it. Every such email identifies us, says where we got the address, and carries a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing suppresses the whole domain, not just the one address, so we will not simply write to a colleague instead.
Once an agency claims a listing we send only messages they have asked for: sign-in links and confirmations. We do not sell or share contact details with anyone, and we do not use tracking pixels to record whether you opened an email.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than the suppliers we need to run the site: Cloudflare hosts the site, database and email sending. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
Listings are kept while the directory operates. If you ask us to remove one, the public entry is deleted and we retain only a suppression record — your domain and the fact you objected — so that we do not re-add or re-contact you from a future import. That record is the minimum needed to honour your objection.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it at all. There is no charge and we will respond within one month. The quickest route for a listing is tocontact us — ask for removal and we will action it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only after you sign in: a session cookie that keeps you logged in to manage your listing. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
